A Standalone book in a brand new series by New York Times bestselling author, JA Huss!

Wanting the perfect man doesn’t make me crazy. I just know what I like. A powerful billionaire in a suit wasn’t even my first choice. McAllister Stonewall was never on my radar, I didn’t even know he existed.

I do now.

He is my most forbidden desires unleashed. He is my new secret obsession. He is my Mr. Perfect.

Until the moment I realize… There’s no such thing as perfect.

Exclusive interview with the author:

1) Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what do you like to listen to?

I am almost always listening to music when I write. I am a Spotify addict and Premium Member! For the Mister series I have been listening to Hozier (who is my number favorite singer/songwriter these days). I love Take Me To Church and The Work Song the most. He’s very soulful and gets my brain working. I also have a bunch of James Bay and Ed Sheeran on that playlist too. Cage the Elephant is always on EVERY playlist (Cigarette Daydreams inspired my book, Eighteen last year) And so is Rhianna. I love me some RiRi!

2) What was your favorite book growing up and why?

I was obsessed with The Black Stallion books by Walter Farley when I was a kid. I was a horse freak. Did all kinds of show jumping and I even went to college for horses, getting my undergraduate degree in equine science.

I also loved Where the Red Fern Grows. My fifth grade teacher read that to us in class and wow, I cried my eyes out at the end. I wanted to live in the Ozarks and raise coonhounds after reading that book. 🙂

3) How long does it take you to write a book?

I’m a fast writer. Since I started indie publishing in 2012 I have written more than thirty books. It usually takes me about four weeks to write a full-length novel of about seventy thousand words. I don’t have beta readers and I don’t do more than one draft before I send it for editing. After I have it edited I make minor changes, but mostly, what comes out is what gets published.

4) Do you have any advice for aspiring authors? Or for writers in general?

Learn your craft. Story is the number one thing you have to get right when you’re just starting out. When you have a fan base already then you can make mistakes every now and then and they will more easily forgive you. Too many of those, however, will make them think twice about reading you again.

Also, know who your audience is and make sure if your genre has specific “rules” or expectations that you follow them. Genre fiction is all about the rules. You have to know them first before you can break them and write something amazing and original.

5) If you could have dinner with one of your Mister characters who would it be?

Well, my favorite Mister (so far) is Mr. Romantic. He’s the second book in this standalone series and he’s got a naughty side that I can appreciate. 😉 So I’d like to have dinner with him.
